Eric Colchamiro grew up in South Florida, participating in a junior golf program and playing all four years on the Palm Beach Gardens High School Team.
After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army, serving proudly for ten years. After his military career, Eric went through the PGA's rigorous training program becoming a Class A Member in 1996 and is certified with the Titleist Performance Institute as a Golf Fitness Instructor and Junior Coach.
Before becoming the Director of Instruction, Eric taught for six years at the Everglades Club in Palm Beach, Florida, where he had a big impact in lowering the members’ handicaps. He then taught as a Master Instructor at the Jim McLean Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona. Eric held the position of the first Head Golf Professional at the Nicklaus-designed Bear Creek Golf Course in Chandler, Arizona -- a 36-hole facility. Eric also spent eight summers teaching at the Stratton Mountain Golf School in Vermont.
Eric participated as a member of ClubCorp Academy’s Board of Advisors whose mission is to ensure world-class golf instruction throughout its clubs nationwide.
Eric has the distinction of being one of the highest-rated teachers. Knowing the learning process, Eric’s students can expect immediate results and long-term benefits. His manner of presenting information is enlightening, entertaining, and therefore effective. Having competed in numerous State Open Championships, Eric understands the world of competitive golf and the need to define and improve each student’s limitations.
Eric is currently working at Quidnessett Country Club in Rhode Island, where he is making an impact teaching all level of players.
Steve Tyrell is a lifelong Rhode Islander, growing up in the Greenwood section of Warwick and graduating from Tollgate High School. He now resides in North Kingstown with his wife Cecilia and son Sean.
Steve has been an avid golfer for more than 40 years where he has played almost all the courses in Rhode Island. He has maintained a single digit handicap index throughout his career as a golfer and competed in a variety of tournaments throughout southern New England.
For the past 7 years he has worked at the North Kingstown Golf Course and enjoys helping golfers of all skill levels. He believes in developing swing fundamentals for golfers to make their experience with golf enjoyable and rewarding through a simple approach in his teaching process.
